Other Notices

Please also see the Prayer news and Growing In Faith pages for more news and events.

This page contains notices of relevance to those who use or attend St Mary's. It contains all of the information to be found on our paper notice sheets (which are available in limited quantity at our Sunday services), plus more besides - either in notice detail or quantity of notices, because it's not constrained by the size of the paper! We are working towards a subscribed email service, whereby notices from this page will be send via a weekly email but, in the meantime, we encourage regular attenders to check this page regularly.

Premier Christian Radio has organised in partnership with Safermedia a major campaign called Safetynet – Protecting Innocence Online.
This is to protect children and young people from exposure to online pornography. They have sent us a congregational petition to the Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport, Rt Hon. Jeremy Hunt MP. This petition is asking for the introduction of legislation that would require internet service providers to place a filter that blocks pornography on all networks, unless an adult actively chooses to opt-in via an age verification process. Premier have been encouraged by the 45,000 signed petitions received since the launch of the campaign and say they need many more to join them in this fight to help ensure our children can safely surf the web. They will be submitting our church petitions along with thousands of others to the Rt. Hon Jeremy Hunt, MP in the summer, so please spread the word and sign the petition in the church.
