Governance
St Mary's is a part of the Church of England, and as such its organisation and operation is governed by Canon Law, and we participate in the synodical government of the church. We are also a registered charity number 1128813, an employer, and a provider of public services; as such we are also governed by a set of laws and regulations outside of Canon Law.
Should the Diocese of Guildford accept the Anglican Covenant then we also would be bound to meet the obligations of that covenant.
In order to be properly governed, St Mary's has established an organisational structure, and a set of policies and practices to ensure that we meet our obligations under these regulations.
